Teaching Practice – Sociology Teacher Training Program (UBA) Zibecchi Chair
Teaching Practice encompasses both Specific Didactics (the didactics of Sociology) and the teaching residency itself. As the final course in the Sociology Teacher Training Program, its fundamental activity is a pre-professional practicum linked to the practice of teaching. The curriculum aims to enable graduates to build the knowledge and skills that demonstrate the close—inseparable—relationship between theoretical training and the field of practice. This implies the development of the following skills for future professional teaching performance: (i) simultaneous reflection on Sociology as a scientific discipline and as an object of teaching; (ii) analysis of the teaching of Sociology in different contexts and modalities; (iii) design of a didactic project, the ability to implement it and modify it based on teaching experience; (iv) development of new didactic strategies for future professional teaching performance.
