Social movements and activism offer new perspectives on society and contribute to its transformation. This study analyzes a range of issues related to the process of raising awareness, as well as the demands and claims made by various forms of activism and social movements. Thus, a broad spectrum of
activism and movements is identified as the focus of empirical interest: a) feminism and gender activism (liberal, popular,
youth gender activism; LGBT); b) student movements; c) movements advocating for rights related to labor and the sustainability of life, particularly organizations in the popular economy; d) specific forms of activism such as movements surrounding voluntary termination of pregnancy (VTP), vaccination, and veganism.
We study their trajectories, their social interactions, and their beliefs (social representations, motivations, moralities, socio-religious ideas). At the same time, we aim to analyze their repertoires of protest and action, strategies for influencing public policy, as well as the changes that are being driven on a scale that remains unpredictable even today.
