“Social Beliefs, Care, and the Management of Bodies: Scientific Dissemination on Moral Controversies in Post-Pandemic Argentina” (Research and Development Projects in Strategic Areas with Social Impact (PIDAE-2024-2025)

Director: Carla Zibecchi
Co-director: Luis Donatello

In society, certain issues can be considered public problems, either because they become a source of concern, scandal, or disputes. Frequently, public opinion becomes polarized around their treatment and “solution,” generating moral controversies among different groups within society. This project will examine three controversies that share a common thread: the establishment of relationships between the management of bodies, their care, and various social beliefs: controversies surrounding suicide and the care of life; the use of vaccines and the care of bodies; and controversies between caring for children or pets.
